A People in Centre member was invited to join an international team and conduct a regional training workshop organised by UNDP and ADPC for ASEAN and Pacific countries to build their capacities to conduct Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA), held from July 28–31, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. As resource person for ‘Housing and Community Infrastructure’, he facilitated training sessions on the subject, focusing on estimating damages, losses and recovery needs after a disaster. The participants represented various government and UN organisations from Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Vanuatu.
