Vivek Rawal of People in Centre, engaged as Housing Advisor to UNDP, led the housing sector assessment of damage, loss and recovery needs. The PDNA was a multi-agency effort: UNDP, UN-Habitat, IOM, UNHCR and the World Bank participated in the housing sector assessment. It estimated that 13,516 houses fully collapsed, 18,434 houses suffered major damage and 17,628 houses suffered minor damage. Housing recovery needs were estimated at US$184.4 million, amounting to 41% of overall needs. The report can be downloaded from here.
