Rushank Mehta was involved in documenting poor settlements in Ahmedabad city and developing housing design solutions as part of the ‘urban poverty reduction strategy in Ahmedabad’ project for MHT. A few design alternatives were developed for an existing low-income housing site of the AMC, developed with Matt Nohn. Ketanbhai and Pragneshbhai from MHT helped derive the cost estimations. A presentation prepared by Matt Nohn using these house designs effectively captures the development of high-density, low-rise housing instead of high-rise apartments.
