The Hunnarshala Foundation and other organisations of Bhuj developed a project proposal to be submitted under the Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY). Based on the surveys and data collected, People in Centre provided technical support to develop the Plan of Action for a Slum-Free City. Further, the Bhimraonagar and Ramdevnagar settlements, with 146 dwelling units, were taken up as a pilot project for developing a detailed plan and demonstrating a strategy for a slum-free city.
