After newspaper reports on traffic obstructions caused by vending activities near the Jamalpur Vegetable Market, the police took harsh action against vendors selling vegetables outside the APMC market. People in Centre, along with SEWA, worked with the street vendors to organise the marketplace, making several representations to AMC officials to reach an agreement for an organised vending market under the newly constructed flyover bridge at the Jamalpur crossroads.
