An area committee meeting with the local municipal corporator was held in collaboration with SEWA to reorganise the existing vending places occupied by street vendors at the Gomtipur marketplace. With the participation of vendors and the local corporator, an alternative plan was proposed to provide better, cleaner and vendor-friendly stalls within the existing spaces occupied by the vendors. The space for the marketplace was recognised for vending by the AMC through advocacy by SEWA.
