The use of urban wastewater for agriculture in peri-urban and rural farmlands is an idea that is increasingly becoming relevant. People in Centre, with support from the IWMI-Tata Policy Programme, undertook exploratory studies to understand the extent of its use, farmers’ perceptions and the associated economics. The studies were published as research highlights under the IWMI-Tata Policy Programme and are available here and here.
