People in Centre collaborated with Urban Management Centre to prepare a Faecal Sludge Management Plan for Wadhwan, Gujarat. The study involved a detailed analysis of the prevailing faecal sludge management situation and the derivation of proposals to strengthen the existing system. Household sample surveys, key informant interviews, analysis of ongoing infrastructure construction, field visits and transects were undertaken to understand the problems and discuss the proposed approach.
