The 2015 Nepal earthquake was devastating. A team member from People in Centre Consulting was involved  in Post Disaster Needs Assessment jointly undertaken by the Government of Nepal, United Nations and the World Bank. PiC team member was involved in assessessment of the damage, loss and recovery needs of the housing sector and community infrastructure. The assessment put recovery needs for housing at about USD 3.3 billion. PiC contributed by highlighting community perspective, facilitation mechanisms for owner driven reconstruction as well as financial estimates.
