‘People in Centre’ Consulting undertook assessment of Cordaid funded project ‘Mainstreaming Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction in the 2007 Flood Affected Communities of Bihar’. This three-year long project (2009-11) was implemented by All india Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) along with its local partners in Bihar with financial support from Cordaid. This project end review focussed on components related to construction of semi-permanent shelters and community centres, extensions in school buildings and risk transfer initiatives through micro-insurance. The review mandated by Cordaid looked into issues of programming, delivery mechanism, decision making, partnership, community participation, vulerability reduction and achievement of results.
