Vivek Rawal of PiC coordinated the Post Disaster Needs Assessment undertaken by the Government of Timor Leste in collaboration with UN and the World Bank after tropical cyclone Seroja hit the country in April 2021. The cyclone caused devastating floods and landslides affecting more than 33000 households. Damage and losses in various sectors including agriculture, businesses, housing, transportation, health and educational infrastructure and services was approximately US$300 million and recovery needs were estimated to be approximately US$530 million.
